Book Review: Matilda by Roald Dahl What do you get when you mix a stunning little abandoned girl with rich gansta parents, boiled with an awful headmistress, and extremely poor but nice teacher and hint of cheeky tricks? Well, you’ve whipped up Roald Dahl’s famous classic Matilda and this book is for you. Matilda is the smartest little girl ever, already reading at three and sneaking off to the local library while her mum plays Bingo. She has numerous tricks up her sleeve for her family who disgraces her for not watching enough horrible TV shows. But the real problem starts when she goes to school. After a small time at school getting in trouble for nothing, she discovers something about herself, something that can only be controlled by her mind. But it could be useful, couldn’t it? Making a quick relationship with her teacher, Miss Honey, and a girl named Lavender. She soon discovers how poor Miss Honey really is and all about her tragic past. But how long can she survive the big and brutal headmistress? I think the whole book is very good, but the end stands out for me. I would recommend this book to anyone able to read fluently. Matilda is more than a bunch of words, more than just a book, it engulfs you and switches your mind, it is some live piece of magic. Because when you start you can’t stop. Also once you have read it you’ll be glad you did!

Ilove this book because it taught me that you shoud never judge people by how old they are to detrmine how smart they are like how Matilda's parents thout she was to young to read but she could

matilda I like the story with a funny twist which was very good and i liked the books plot have you heard of parents who think their childs are amazing but others did not and just thought their kids were OMG are dumd when they are amazing and that is Matilda's case

Loved this book! It shows you need one soul to see you for who you are and you will see your potential. Matilda and Ms.Honey are such wonderful characters.

There's this girl names Matilda. She EXTEREMLY smart, really nice, and pretty much perfect. But some people are mean to her. These people include her family and the school principal (who's actually pretty mean to everyone). So she decides to get revenge. What I thought of it: The illustrations creeped me out. The actual book was poorly written. Matilda herself was pretty irritating. She was perfect, and, in the end, she got everything she wanted. Pretty much all of the characters were unrealistic. All the "bad people" were completely bad and all the "good people" were completely good. There was nothing even a little complex about them. And pretty much all of the books I've read by Roald Dahl have characters like that. Completely flat with little to no real personality. Another thing that Roald Dahl's book seem to have in common. The movie was way better. I mean the movie for Fantastic Mr. Fox was phenomenal. The book, on the other hand, was terrible. I can't say that about James and the Giant Peach, though, because I've never read the book. When it comes to Matilda, the movie was a lot better. But both were pretty creepy if you ask me. Overall, It wasn't a very good book at all.
