Basically explains my whole life. Loved Matilda's personality and cleverness and the way she opened up to her teacher. <3 One of the best from Dahl.

Matilda is a sweet, exceptional young girl, but her parents think she's just a nuisance. She expects school to be different but there she has to face Miss Trunchbull, a menacing, kid-hating headmistress. When Matilda is attacked by the Trunchbull she suddenly discovers she has a remarkable power with which to fight back. It'll take a superhuman genius to give Miss Trunchbull what she deserves and Matilda may be just the one to do it!
Here is Roald Dahl's original novel of a little girl with extraordinary powers. This much-loved story has recently been made into a wonderful new musical, adapted by Dennis Kelly with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin.

A highly praised classic written by the brilliant Roald Dahl, Matilda is a stirring novel concentrating on a little girl named Matilda. A child of superior intellect, she is often overlooked by her illiterate, impertinent family. Astounded by her intelligence, her teacher, Ms. Honey, attempts to persuade Matilda's stubborn parents to recognize their daughter's love of reading books & that she should be placed in a more advanced source of education. Meanwhile, school has become an obstacle for Matilda because of Ms. Trunchbull, the school's vigorously aggressive principal. In the midst of all this calamity, Matilda develops a slight case of telekinesis, which she uses at an advantage. In this fantastic actuality of the world around us, this book never fails to disappoint me.
