Wonder

Wonder

By R. J. Palacio

Wonder by R.J. Palacio is about a boy named August (but they call him "Auggie"). He has a facial deformity which means his face looks deformed and it's his first year going to school because he's always done homeschool. When he started 5th grade he made 2 friends: Summer Dawson and Jack Will. There's another boy who is named Julian but he is very mean to Auggie. In this book, Auggie has to face the tragedies that happen in 5th grade but also has fun and funny moments. I personally love this book because it teaches kids to be kind no matter what the person looks like. I would definitely recommend this book to all 5th-6th graders.

Wish

Wish

By Barbara O'Connor

I read this in 4th grade and I absolutely fell in love with it. The characters, the emotions, and... everything really. It's an amazing book and it teaches so many great lessons. If you are very emotional it'll probably make you cry. Most of what get from the book is love. From the moment when I opened it until the I finished the book made me feel like I wanted to love everybody in the world with all my heart. It made feel so warm that I still rember to this day, as a 7th grader, how good it felt. I recommend this book to any 9–11-year-old and I hope you learn all the lessons you can from it.
