Why I chose this book to read is because, when my aunt came to Taiwan she bring this book to me and tell me to read. I very like this book because the character make me feel real lifelike, other author will try to avoid many true thing that will make other people think this is a bad book, but this book have sware and some of the adult thing, also sometime when I am reading this book I will feel some of my feeling is similar to the main character.
The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger is a very good book. Holden is a 16 year old boy whose parents sent him off to Pencey boarding school. Holden starts flunking grades so he gets kicked out of Pencey.Holden hates pencey because he thinks everybody at Pencey is a phony .Holden is supposed to leave on Wednesday but leaves early. Holden takes off to New York city. He does things that he shouldn’t be doing at his age. He goes to the worst hotel. He even goes to the bar and gets drunk. Holden sneaks into his house and wakes up his sister. She gets mad because she knows he got kicked out. Holden has amazing adventures in New York. You need to read this book because it shows how your life could lead to if you make the wrong choices.
Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger is a very interesting story about a high school boy called Holden. At the beginning of the story, Holden is annoyed in several situations so he decides to go to New York. Holden tends to do "adult things" but his mind just becomes more and more chaotic. I don't really like the ending of this book because it was unclear as to what happened to Holden. Although this book is slightly complicated, I liked reading and understanding how the world is presented to Holden, his love for his sister and Jane will never change, while everyone else is dirty and complexed. He has to deal with who he is, death of his brother, relationships with everyone, and most importantly, himself. Because of the people he cares about, he has to suffer all the pain himself and hide it deep down his heart. People should definitely read this book, the thoughts Holden has will never get you to stop thinking about our society!
It's a pretty good book about a boy who gets expelled from a boarding school called Pensey and goes on a series of adventures.
Holden tells an interesting tale of being 16 in New York City. It's hard to know what boys think but the author lets us see inside his mind as events unfold. It was an original story and I couldn't predict what was going to happen next.
