Uncle Scrooge: Treasure Above The Clouds

Uncle Scrooge: Treasure Above The Clouds

By Carl Barks, Giorgio Fontana

It's so bad. I think I would rather watch the Duck Tales show than read the books.😡😡😡

Dungeon Critters

Dungeon Critters

Yeah, it's a comic, but I thought it was amazing. I definitely recommend this book.😀😀😆😆😆

Frozen: The Junior Novelization

Frozen: The Junior Novelization

By RH / Disney

It is good because it is sad and happy. I read the book before I watched the movie and I am glad I did because I knew that even though it was sad that it was going to be good at the end. I read this book to my little sister a lot.

The Son Of Neptune (The Heroes of Olympus, Book 2)

The Son Of Neptune (The Heroes of Olympus, Book 2)

By Rick Riordan

Let’s go Percy, let’s go! Let’s go Percy, let’s go! Let’s go--, hello Percy! Ah, The Son of Neptune, I’ve been waiting… The Son of Neptune is the second novel in the Heroes of Olympus series. I’ve read (and enjoyed) the first book, The Lost Hero. (By the way, my review of The Lost Hero is up and running on DogoBooks. Go check it out!) But, we are here to discuss the second novel, so The Lost Hero, get lost again. ***CHARACTERS*** The three main characters in the book are Percy, Frank, and Hazel. One is a kid who forgot his memory, second is a kid who *SPOILER* can turn into animals, and lastly is a girl who *SPOILER* came back from the dead. Wondering how they are best friends? Trust me, I don’t know either. But I love them all the same. PERCY- Was a character that I felt bad for. Imagine forgetting who you are and left without a clue for (I think) eight to nine months. But Percy was a well-written character. He made me laugh and cry the whole time… FRANK- Was hilarious! Frank just summed up my entire life with his clumsiness. He is so funny and sweet, and a really great character. His backstory is so interesting and sad that I couldn’t put done the book with Frank’s chapter. HAZEL- Was so sweet. Her life is so interesting. Hazel was a fragile character deep inside. She had secrets and memories that made her happy. She held on to them even though she lived a horrible (past) life. Oh! I was really happy when *SPOILER* Thanatos (or Pluto) let her live. Thank god(s) that she was allowed to proceed to her new life. That made me very relaxed. ***SETTING*** Camp Jupiter was a really interesting place. Not only did I have to adjust from Camp Half-Blood to Camp Jupiter, but I had to also look up different gods and goddesses that were new to me in Roman form. In conclusion, I loved this book. It was fast paced with action and plot-twists that I couldn’t just stop reading. Five stars from me!

The Life As We Knew It Collection (Life As We Knew It Series)

The Life As We Knew It Collection (Life As We Knew It Series)

By Susan Beth Pfeffer

This is a very good book that conjures up an extreme situation in which the moon is knocked closer to the earth. I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to spend hours reading at the edge of you seat!

The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Riddle of Ages

The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Riddle of Ages

By Trenton Lee Stewart

Mm, this book is pretty okay I guess... It is different than the first trio of books . I could not really keep up with it. My friend loves it, but I am not certain. Everyone is so different, Tai Li randomly shows up, and devastatingly, CONSTANCE CONTRAIRE PRACTICALLY GAVE UP RHYMING SPONTANEOUSLY!😤😱😮😪😥😭😭😭😭 Also, the plot is hard to follow and I was sad since Violet Hopefield didn't show up in the book. Some parts are good, like when Constance yelled at Reynie and everyone. That was good. I wish I could do that to my sort of friend, who loves this book. But overall, the plot is less clever, TLS has lost a bit of his usual sparkle, and why on earth does Constance not make any epic poems? I loved those! Overall, there are clever plot turns but I couldn't keep up with it. It's like a tidal wave of new characters knocked me over. I do like how the author included each character's personal thoughts, but Tai seems like a minor character. 3 1/2 stars.🙃

Sabotage: The Mission to Destroy Hitler's Atomic Bomb: Young Adult Edition

Sabotage: The Mission to Destroy Hitler's Atomic Bomb: Young Adult Edition

By Neal Bascomb

“Sabotage” by Neal Bascomb “Sabotage” by Neal Bascomb is a Non-fiction book about a mission to destroy Hitler’s atomic bomb in the Vidda. Five Norwegian soldiers were chosen to complete this mission. A topic in this book is trial and error because the Norwegian soldiers tried several times to blow up the plant but failed a lot. A quote to represent trial and error is “It felt like a crater was opening in each of their hearts”. The author said this because a plane was supposed to drop more soldiers down into the Vidda but failed because the soldiers on the ground failed to set up the signal. I thought the book was boring because it lacked suspense and could have more plot. I rate this book a 5/10 because it did not grab my attention very well. I would not recommend this to people. This is my review on the book Sabotage and if you want to see if the soldiers destroy the bomb you will have to read yourself.

The Martian

The Martian

By Andy Weir

"Hey there." declared Mark Watney to his first potato plant. This was an interesting book. I enjoyed reading it, but at the same time I was pulled onto Mars and into Mark's world. He had a lot of food-the rest of his crew aborted misson and left him there, supposedly dead. But no! He was alive, and (partially) well. (Except for the fact that a satellite slammed into him and stabbed him, but that's unimportant.) With the potatoes in his food stash, he decided to grow some. And maybe set himself on fire once. Maybe. Then, his potatoes died. Nobody likes cold temperatures on Mars. Then, Rich Purnell decides to try to help save him. NASA declines. But the rest of the Ares III crew (those rebels!) use Rich's maneuver. And Mark is saved. The rest you know.

Gregor The Overlander (Underland Chronicles)

Gregor The Overlander (Underland Chronicles)

By Suzanne Collins

This book is great. It's set in summertime. Gregor's stuck in his family's apartment, babysitting his younger sister, Margaret (Boots). When he has to do the laundry, he takes her with him to the laundry room. As he does the laundry, Boots disappears down a grate to a world under New York City. Gregor follows, and they fall down to the Underland with giant rats, bats big enough to ride on, and strange, pale, violet-eyed people. As strange as all this is, what's even stranger is that they're calling him the warrior, the Overlander foretold to save the Underland. You should read this, whoever you are.
