She can’t believe it’s finally happening. Tsunami and her fellow dragonets of destiny are journeying under the water to the great SeaWing Kingdom. Stolen as an egg from the royal hatchery, Tsunami is eager to meet her future subjects and reunite with her mother, Queen Coral.

But Tsunami’s triumphant return doesn’t go quite the way she’d imagined. Queen Coral welcomes her with open wings, but a mysterious assassin has been killing off the queen's heirs for years, and Tsunami may be the next target. The dragonets came to the SeaWings for protection, but this ocean hides secrets, betrayal—and perhaps even death.

I liked it but I miss the older cover of the book

This is one of the best books you will ever read, because it has everything you would want a book to have in it. It has thrills, excitement, and cliffhangers. If you haven't read this book at all you really should it is one of the best books you will ever read. Next this book is a series, therefore it has multiple books about it. Once you pick this book up you wouldn't be able to put it down. Keep Calm And Read On...

this book is really good, but i've only read chapters 1-2. If you haven't read this book you really should it's very good at leaving cliffhangers, and it's kind of like a mystery book, because you never know what's going to happen next. Anyway if you haven't read this book yet you really should it is one of the most astonishing books ever. Keep Calm And Read On...

Hey you should really read this book it's called, Wings of Fire The Lost Heir, Tui T. Sutherland wrote the book she one of my favorite authors. The book and the series is about the dragonets of destiny, The Lost Heir is about my favorite dragon tsunami and their adventure in the kingdom of sea which is where all the seawing dragons live. The seawing dragons are just one of the types of dragons, there are the mudwing, skywing, sandwing, icewing, rainwing, and nightwing. But this book is about the seawings which is what type tsunami is. There is a prophecy about tsunami and her friends who are the dragonets of destiny, there is a prophecy about the dragonets of destiny it states, “ When the war has lasted twenty years, the dragonets will come, when the land is soaked in blood and tears, the dragonets will come. Find the seawing egg from the deepest blue, wings of night shall come to you, the largest egg in mountain high, will give you the wings of sky. For wings of earth, search through the mud, for an egg the color of dragon blood, and hidden alone from the rival queens, the sandwing egg awaits unseen. Of three queens who blister blaze and burn, two shall die and one shall learn, if she bows to fate that is stronger and higher, she’ll have the power of wings of fire. Five eggs hatch on brightest night, five dragons born to end the fight. Darkness will rise to bring the light. The dragonets are coming…” Whenever I read that I wanted to find out what it really meant to be the dragonet of destiny. Also the writing style was amazing it had different points of views from like Clay, Sunny, Glory, and the rest of the dragonets. It helped me actually know what the other dragons where thinking about like how did they liked Queen Coral or what did they think of the sea kingdom. The book was mysterious because there was a murderer killing Queen Coral eggs and everybody had clues about who it was. In this book they spent more time in the sea kingdom in the mud kingdom the did not spent much time in the mud kingdom in book one. Tui T. Sutherland has made many books so she is an experienced writer it obviously shows in this book and the others that i've read. In 2009 she was on the hit show Jeopardy. She was on the show for two days and won $ 46,200. To sum it up this book was and really good book out of the series, and if you want to find out who or what the killer was and how the book ended you would have to read the book yourself, And you can find out what the prophecy means and what happens to the dragonets of destiny in the rest of the series.

Betrayal. Adventure. Action! In this thrilling instalment of the Wings of Fire series, Tsunami finally gets to find her family in the Summer Palace, of the Water Kingdom. She meets her overprotective but loving mother, Queen Coral, and her little sister, Anemone, and is declared a princess. But soon she finds herself wrapped in a tragic mystery- who is killing the queen's only heirs?

Tsunami is finally meeting her mother, Queen Coral. Coral is super protective and never lets Tsunami's sister out of sight. This is probably be because of the unwanted pattern happening to Coral's eggs... They always die before hatching! It's up to Tsunami to find the murder, fast.
