For a full hour, he poured lemonade. The world is a thirsty place, he thought as he nearly emptied his fourth pitcher of the day. And I am the Lemonade King.

Fourth-grader Evan Treski is people-smart. He’s good at talking with people, even grownups. His younger sister, Jessie, on the other hand, is math-smart, but not especially good with people. So when the siblings’ lemonade stand war begins, there really is no telling who will win—or even if their fight will ever end. Brimming with savvy marketing tips for making money at any business, definitions of business terms, charts, diagrams, and even math problems, this fresh, funny, emotionally charged novel subtly explores how arguments can escalate beyond anyone’s intent.

The Lemonade War is about Evan and Jessie making a lemonade stand together . But that didn't work out it became of a war, a lemonade war. Jessie and Evan decided to make their own lemonade stands to see who could sell the most lemonade. Jessie was working with Megan and Evan was working alone. When the girls sign was big and bright reading frosty delicious and only 50 cents a glass it drew attention while Evan's was just boring. Evan had $47 he needed 53 more in last three days of the war. When Evan did the math he needed to make $17 each day to win. Jessie though $400 was enough to win but Megan gave her $104 so she would definitely win. If Evan found he wold be mad and when he did , Evan won the lemonade war. I loved this book and the other books in this series!

So technically it's about one boy and one girl who don't get along with each other and are going to put up a lemonade stand

I really liked this book. I like how it shows you about "kid court". If you blame somebody for taking something and they say they didn't they may be lying and they could give it back.

This book was light, warmhearted, and funny! A great summer read. The arguments between Jessie and Evan are so realistic their relatable! Im sure all people with siblings, and without, will certainly relate to or enjoy this book!

What I liked about is that it is very suspenseful. This is a very good book for just starting reading readers. I think that Evan is real funny. He is really good at making friends. I think Jacqueline Davies made a great book :)

I liked the part that Evan and his friends helped each other to make a lemonade stand! I like helping my friends too! I was also impressed that Evan told Jassie to cut off the lemonade war so that they won't make losers or winners.I have no sisters, but I know how they feel !!

I truly admired this book! It had a very enjoyable concept, and most children worldwide can relate to the principle of the story. The manner in which this book attracted me to is very simple- I have faced the dilemmas in this novel. My brother and I fight frequently and think in very different ways! I would highly recommend this book to elementary and middle school kids to relate to! The sequels are also facing average child problems. This book brings mischief, comedy, and wisdom in a colorful twist!

I really enjoyed this book! I could also relate to it, since I have a younger sibling and not only do we fight, but we also do a lemonade stand! I read all the books in this series and personally thought they got increasingly worse as the series progressed. Therefore I would highly recommend this book to elementary/middle school kids but advise them not to read the sequels

I have an older brother and we like to compete all the time. It is funny to see what happens between Evan and Jessie in "Lemonade War". The sibling fights.
