This funny story is about a tall giraffe, a hungry pelican and a skinny monkey who are the ladder, the bucket and the cleaner of a window cleaning company! One day they meet a little boy called Billy who dreams of having a sweet shop. Where will they go and work next? What will happen there?Will Billy get what he wants? I enjoyed this book because it is very funny for a giraffe to be used as a ladder, a pelican as a bucket and a monkey as a cleaner.The funniest part of the book is when the boy goes inside the pelican's magical beak. I love the way Roald Dahl writes because he describes a lot all the characters and makes them very interesting. I recommend this book to children who are seven or more and the children who like funny things and dream of owning a sweet shop. Roald Dahl is such an excellent writer because he puts a lot of adjectives and includes adventure and suspense in them.
This is a book about a giraffe, a pelly, a monkey and a boy.They do many things together, like cleaning windows.They help the Duke and they fix his problems in a funny way. What will happen to these four friends? Will they be able to get some money? My favorite part was when all were working to clean the windows of the mansion because they do it in a funny way: The giraffe’s neck is the ladder, the monkey washes the window and the pelly uses its beak as the bucket. The illustrations are amazing I recommend this book to children between 7 and 10 years old because it is so much fun.
This book is about a boy, Billy, that lived next to a Candy store. Billy loved candy, but the Candy store was closed. One day, a tall, big colourful giraffe, a big pelly and a revolting brown monkey moved where the Candy store was. They turned it into a window cleaner’s place. On the sunniest, loveliest day, a man comes with a letter, the letter said: “Dear sirs,I saw your notice as I drove by this morning. I had looking for a decent windows cleaner for the last fifty years but I have not found one yet. My house have six hundred seventy seven windows in it (without counting the greenhouse) and all for them are filthy. Kindly come and see me as soon as possible.The Duke of Hampshire. Will the animals go? If they do, will they take Billy? What will happen with the house the animals live in? If you want to know who ME is, read this book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you like animals read it too!!!!! This book is wonderful:,the story, the CHARACTERS, and the pictures... It is excellent for children who love pictures.(Quentin Blake made them) I like when Roald Dahl entertains readers by exaggerating everything. For example, if he wants to say someone is tall, he says he is super duper extra duper tall to make an impact. I loved that in his books NOTHING IS NORMAL READ THIS WONDERFUL BOOK!
This book is about a boy that always went to “The Grubber” that was a sweet shop that was on sale.It was always closed.One day he went to The Grubber and it said “Sold”. A few days later he went again.There it said “The Ladderless Window Cleaning Company”. There were a pelly,a giraffe and a monkey.They could do impossible things.Did they clean well?If you want to know if they cleaned well and the impossible things they could do, read this marvellous story. I enjoyed the part of the book when Pelly captured the thief who robbed diamonds and a pistol .He was called the Cobra.My favarite part was when Pelly put the Cobra in his beak because the police was there to arrest him.. This book is recommended to anyone who likes impossible things.It is for boys or girls of 9 years old.
This story is about a small town where a small boy lived. In that facinating little town, there was a very old sweet shop that no one owned. Some unusual animals bought it. What was their profession? Do they succeed? I enjoyed this story because it is an unusual one with three animals that can do magical things with their bodies. My favorite part was the end because it has a splendid finale. It is a marvellous, astonishing story especially at the end. I recommend this story for children that are 9 years old because it gives you creativity, imagination and may surprise you along your reading! This book is a “must” read. You should read this astonishing, marvellous,splendid and catchy book!
