This Newbery Honor-winning, hilarious Floridian adventure involves new kids, bullies, alligators, eco-warriors, pancakes, pint-sized owls, and more. A New York Times bestseller!

Everybody loves Mother Paula’s pancakes. Everybody, that is, except the colony of cute but endangered owls that live on the building site of the new restaurant. Can the awkward new kid and his feral friend prank the pancake people out of town? Or is the owls’ fate cemented in pancake batter?

I absolutly love this book! If you like this book, and want to read some more of Carl Hiassen, try reading Scat, Flush, and chomp, also by Carl.

it's pretty good and I love how they try to save the owls for their community, and the movie is super good too!

This is another Hiaasen classic. Always about Florida and saving the environment, but always with a different, authentic way of telling people, "Hey!, There's a world out there too!" Hiaasen tells us more about the unique owls that live right under us. I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I highly recommend it.

The first time that I read this book it was for a school report :( which is never fun so of course I hated it the first time but then I read it again ( not for a report) and it was actually a really good book so you should read it

I liked the book, because I watched the movie, which I thought was better. I guess you have to read the book first. I highly recemend this book/movie.

this book was to be said that it was realoly boring, but after a few times of reading it(after not really understanding it) i seemed to like it just a bit more. it wasn't that bad. i liked it and look forward to reading other great books.
