This book was amazing. I really liked Olive and Ivana Oscar. My favorite part was when the directors tried to kill Ivana but Olive made sure that everything wouldn't work. I also like the endind because all the people that were mean got in trouble, and ivana went to live with Olive.
I loved his book because the keep you wondering.I loved the way they talked about the movie star life.I liked the ending especially.
I have read all of the 43 Old Cemetery Road. Even though I am 11 I still love these books. Anyone would love these great books. When I got 43 Old Cemetery Road I also got all the other books in the series and I reread ALL of them. I still love them. I recommend this to any reader who loves a good and funny read with ghosts, young boys, grumpy old men and lots of letters!
Hollywood, Dead Ahead is the fifth book in the 43 Old Cemetery Road series. It features a man named Ignatius B. Grumply, a ghost named Olive C. Spence, and a boy named Seymour Hope, all of whom are living together in Spence Mansion as each others' adopted family. The book starts with film producer Moe Block Busters, who wants to make a movie based on their book. But when the trio arrives in Hollywood, they find some serious problems with the script, the casting, and most of all the contract Ignatius signed. Soon Olive digs up some dirty secrets, involving the frightening plans of Moe and his team of directors. Those plans, however, will soon go astray, because Olive is exactly the right person (or ghost) to come up with some creative schemes of her own. I definitely thought this book was darker than the other four in the series, particularly because of the despicable plans of the movie producers. This wasn't necessarily a bad thing, especially for older readers, such as me. It's possible their frightening intentions have the capability of scaring younger readers, but for me it made the story the most fascinating and captivating of all. This book was really creative and unique, as is the rest of the series and other books by Kate and Sarah Klise. I very much enjoyed the way it was written in letters, newspapers, contracts, plane tickets, post cards, drawings, and other paper materials. The addition of a ghost who can only communicate through writing definitely helped with dialogue, which I can see being a very difficult thing to deal with in this style of writing. Overall, I loved the book's fast-paced and creative style. It was a quick read, a great book to blow through as soon as I get a few hours of alone time. I would recommend this series in general for 10-12 year olds, but even older readers like me can definitely get a kick out of them.
This is a quick and quirky book, told through letters, pictures, and posters. The characters move to hollywood, but Olive the ghost is replaced. But that doesn't mean she won't try her hardest to sneak back in. I love the little hints throughout the book that lead to the conclusion, that you only see if you're looking very carefully. It's a funny book with enough action to satisfy any reader.

I really liked this book! It was a really fun and easy read, but very interesting. I really liked how the author wrote it out of notes, and letter. I liked how there were illustrations in the book. I also liked how the sisters wrote it together. Overall this book was really great, and really u to read!
This book was awesome!!!!! My favorite character was the ghost, Olive C. Spence. She was herself all throughout the book. when she did something she fixed it, or tried to at least. She was very funny, and did some unusual things. Her friends Ignatious and Seymour were pretty cool too, but Olive's personality was the best!! She is crazy, but, hey, nobody is perfect!!!!!!!!
Hollywood, Dead Ahead was awsome. I really liked how the author wrote the book out of notes, newspapers, voting ballots and postcards. I like Seymours drawings the best. I love how Olive interupts the letters people write. I adored the prank Olive, Seymour, Ignnatuis, and Ivana played on Myra.
This book was really good. I never imagined the series going to Hollywood, but I thought it was hilarious how nobody believed in Olive. I love the names the authors choose for the characters because you can figure out who the characters personality was like just from their name. I could see where the story was going when they signed the contract without reading it, because my dad always tells me to read before i sign. I never thought that the contract would involve that she would have to die! It was really funny how they put that on the posters before she died or realized that! Overall it was a really good book, and i cannot wait for the next one!
