For fans of Smile and Real Friends comes a debut graphic novel about friendship and finding where you "click" in middle school.

Olive wants to get in on the act . . .
. . . Any act!

Olive “clicks” with everyone in the fifth grade—until one day she doesn’t. When a school variety show leaves Olive stranded without an act to join, she begins to panic, wondering why all her friends have already formed their own groups . . . without her. With the performance drawing closer by the minute, will Olive be able to find her own place in the show before the curtain comes up?
Author-illustrator Kayla Miller has woven together a heartfelt and insightful story about navigating friendships, leaning on family, and learning to take the stage in the most important role of all.

The Fifth Grade Variety Show is coming up and Olive needs an act. Every one of her friends already have an act, so Olive has to figure out a solo act for herself. After a sleepover at her Aunts house, Olive thinks she's found an act.

When Olive's friends are starting to get ready for the school's talent show, Olive doesn't know what to do and can't find her clique. While she starts to worry that her friends are forgetting her, Olive's aunt helps her find her talent and Olive soon realizes something very important. I would recommend this for ages 9+ So not that bad but I don't feel like this story is told from a 5th grader. I feel like it's told from a 4th grader. The character needs improvement but other than that this is a really nice book.

This book was pretty good. It was a graphic novel. It was about a girl who wanted tobe in the show but there wasnt any groups who wanted her in their group.
